The National U-17 Development Camp, 2019

It is always fun to see young starlets take to the pitch. It gives fans the chance to grow with their athletes and know which ones will be flying the country’s flag in a few years to come. Markin MacPhail Centre, Calgary, will be offering this platform when it hosts the 2019 edition of the development camp for U-17s.

The event running for three days between July 23 and 26 will bring together some of the finest young stars who will look to impress for a chance to get recognition and the chance to go pro.

Global U-17 Hockey Challenge

The season is really focused on youngsters, as a lot from the entire world will be heading to Canalta Centre and the Innovation Credit Union iPlex this November. The week-long event will run from date two to date nine and will see Under-17 hockey players from across the world compete for a top finish.

Men’s U-18 Selection

The MacPhail centre will also host the selection for the team that will represent the nation in the 2019-20 season. The event will take place from 28th to 30th July. Although selections are not known to attract a lot of fans, those who get to follow them admit that they are some of the most charged events.

Rightly so because the participants are giving their best to ensure they get a place in what is the senior-most level of playing at their age. The fact that the competition takes place for just two days also makes it easier to follow as a fan.

The National U-18 Women’s Championship

Women hockey has greatly caught on in recent times. The current generation of young players is definitely going to have a good time playing at the senior level. They have perfected the skill so much that you could think you are playing on your console at home when you watch them play.

Catch them in action at the Winkler Arena and the Access Events place between 5th and 9th of November.

The Hlinka Gretzky Cup 2019

In August, the action will drop by the Ice Bors Arena in the senior event that is the Gretzky Cup. The event taking place between August 5 and 10 will be a great chance to catch real pros in action.
